Dr Dre Laptop

Have you seen the Dr Dre Laptop yet?  Dre had this thing customized to hot.  Before we get to the computer, you've got to love the very nice headphones that accompany the Dr Dre laptop.  Usually any headphones or accessories of the sort that come with a computer are cheap but as you can see from the picture, these are anything but.

As for the laptop - officially named the HP Envy Notebook - odds are you're going to have a solid, but not spectacular experience with it.  It comes with Windows installed and the feature Beats software application which is supposed to give you a lot more command of the sound and audio on your computer. 

The Beats program on the Dr Dre Laptop allows you to edit and save custom EQ curves while saving the ability to adjust the volume of the speakers and headphone jack independent of one another.  You can also receive data and status updates on the type of waves its putting in and out.

The starting price for Dre's computer is $999.  Keep in mind this is pretty bare bones with low computer strength.  Prices travel upwards towards $3,000 if you build up to a superior package from the base model.

If you're considering buying the Envy from Dre, it's a give and take.  It's a decent computer with an above average price tag.  The bonus is you get a lot more audio control and a noticeable upgrade in sound quality emitting from your laptop.  The coolness factor is definitely there as it looks sleek from head to toe.

Seems like nowadays everybody is buying gifts for geeks.  Hard to call it geeky when the one and only Dr. Dre is producing.
