I Want Money

Make Money From Your Computer

If you want to earn income online, it is very possible.  There are many ways to make money on the Internet, but I'm going to show you what has worked for me.  Although this is only one of the many ways of generating passive income online, I think if you implement my strategies into your own small Internet business blog (hey a blog can be a business too), then you have the very realistic potential to make an extra $2,500 from your side hobby.  The amount you earn certainly isn't limited to this much money.

First, try to think of 3 to 5 things you have a passion for.  This doesn't have to be serious or technical stuff.  The key is to focus in on what you truly enjoy.  This can be anything from watching movies to cell phones.  Now that you have picked a few of your passions, sign up for something called Google Adwords.  Google Adwords is an advertising program from Google that advertisers use to have their website listed in the sponsored listings on Google.  This will cost you $5 to sign-up, but the program is well worth it for informational purposes at the very least.

Next, search Google for Google Adwords keyword tool and type in words you think people would search for in finding what you will be writing about.  For example, if you wrote a money blog you want to see how many people were searching terms such as "money blog", "making money from blogging", "how to make money from a blog", and other similar terms.  What this does is give you a gauge on how much interest there will be in the topic you choose.  If your key terms commonly come up above 100 exact searches per month (make sure the tool is set to exact), then you will have enough readership to justify a start up blog.  These keywords are what you will want to target when creating your blog as you will be trying to capture the people that search in these keywords.

Now, go to your Google Adwords account and set up a mock campaign to see what bids on those keywords are.  You generally want bids to be at least $0.60.  After you see there is some interest in your particular keywords, search Google and verify there are at least a handful of advertisers bidding on exactly your keywords.  (all you need to do is look at the sponsored results)

What we are doing here is making sure you have a profitable niche to begin writing in.  If it looks like the niche or subject you have selected doesn't generate much money and/or searches, you will want to strongly consider moving to another area to blog about.  After all, the primary reason you are reading this article is to make money.  The goal is to combine a passion of yours with making money.  Sometimes passions aren't fruitful money makers on the Internet, so you need to explore other topics that do easily convert to money online.

Once you have found a profitable niche, you can start a blog completely free with a free blogging service such as Google or WordPress.  You will receive a subdomain and web hosting at no cost which greatly reduces your overhead against starting a website you have complete control of.  You should know that some of the greatest marketers have used the free accounts I'm talking about with tremendous success but also realize that once you start building on a free hosting account, you really can't transfer that success over to your own host later.

You're now ready to start blogging about your topic.  Try to write 5 times a week about specific areas in your niche.  The more detailed you are, the more likely people will find you in search engines.  At first you will not receive much outside traffic, if at all, but don't get discouraged.  Keep writing consistently for 2-3 weeks and you will begin to notice people tumbling in from various places.  (use Google Analytics to track your stats)

At last, we've reached the monetization level where you make money.  Add Google Adsense to your blog so that people searching for content you are writing about will be presented with more avenues to find their information.  Google Adsense will post text-ad links to your site and share a portion of the advertising revenue with you.  This money is deposited directly to your Google account and you can set your Adsense account to direct deposit money straight to your bank account.

Congratulations!  You now have a great platform to launch off and start your own money making blog.  There are many more tips and tricks of the trade, but this is more than enough to get you started and earning at least a side income online.
