Want to start your own blog?  Some people are intimidated by the thought of putting up a website but it's probably much easier than you think.  This article will talk about the only two things you need to buy to get a blog up.

A Good Host

The thing to think about is a good host. These can be a free host or a paid host. The free hosts are not the best option because they can control what they are hosting. If they feel it’s not good material or spam-link, they can delete the blog without any notice.

A paid host will let you do more with your blog as far as content, design, and advertising.  The most important part of getting a web host is to find a reliable one.  All pretty much offer the same services and comparable prices but some will let you down when it comes to service, help, and uptime (your blog will go offline at times).

Domain Names

Domain Names give your blog or website marketability.  There are many different domain registrars where you can get a .com web address for $12 or less.  Getting a domain name is easy and won't take you more than 5 minutes after you find an available URL you want.

Material

Of course, after you have everything to start a blog and have it running, you will need content to put on your blog. A good idea is to write up 2 blog posts right away and link to them from high powered social websites so you can get indexed right away.  After you get indexed, try to blog at least once every five days to get your blog recognized right away by Google as a lively blog.
